ZENZILE is a world beat music group with an outstanding mix of people and sounds. The repertoire ranges from contemporary pop music to Reggae, Afro-Beat, Afro-Cuban, Latin, jazz, and soft rock. Performing original songs, traditional songs, and ‘standards,’ ZENZILE is bound to mesmerize you with its sensuous and captivating rhythms, drawing on African and Afro-Cuban percussion foundations combined with upbeat and flavorful instrumentation. The name of the group (pronounced Zen-zee-lay) is a tribute to Miriam Makeba, whose middle name was Zenzile.

ZENZILE features two dynamic vocalists: Haitian born singer Eder Charles, who has been performing for many years with his enchanting and soulful tones, and the sensational college junior Fashina Mira Aladé, who currently sings with UPenn’s Dischord A Cappella. Hip-hop pro ‘Wink’ Hudson dazzles the eyes with his electric moves. ZENZILE often features guest artists from around the globe, especially from West Africa and Cuba.
